Manchester based singer songwriter Ian Britt releases his debut album "One Day I...". This release follows on from a limited edition 7” of Take The Pain, subsequent EP ‘Diamond in the Rough’ and Life Ain’t Made single released on Jalapeno.
In the time honoured tradition of artists and bands from the north of England, Ian Britt has written some of the most emotional music we are likely to hear this year, music which defies current trends and relies instead on traditional song writing talent to produce timeless songs.
Waste Another day is the opening track of the album and sets the tone with contemporary blues delivered with a cheeky northern grin. Lyrically it’s lighthearted and shows a relaxed confidence that can only really be captured in the context of a great pop song.
The exuberance of Life Ain’t Made, Free and Waste Another Day are balanced on the album by the more delicate emotional tracks, Fallen Angel and Overtones being two in particular that can hush a busy room when Ian performs one of his powerful acoustic sets.
